You are invited to join us, as we make a journey together through Advent!
Advent is a special season in our church calendar, as we anticipate the coming of Christ. We invite faith communities across Aotearoa to come along for the journey!
Our hope is that, through the resources we’ve developed, your church can observe Advent in ways that will engage all generations in your church community. Whether it’s a celebration to mark the beginning of Advent, or small-yet-intentional acts throughout the season, we have developed resources and ideas to help churches, children’s ministries and families make Advent meaningful and special.
Following the lectionary, these resources are centered on the scripture of Isaiah. We know how busy and hectic December can be, and so these resources are designed to be as user-friendly as possible. You may choose to use all of the resources, or focus on just one element-there are no ‘wrong ways’ on this journey!
We hope these resources will help your whole congregation to discover together the wonder and excitement of Advent together!
