PCFM is excited to offer some great resources for this coming Advent and Christmas season.
The Little Book of Advent 2024
Last year’s Little Book of Advent proved to be incredibly popular, with about 3000 copies being shared throughout New Zealand. This year, we have updated and reformatted the resource, making it easier for churches to download, print and share. With a scripture reading, reflection question and prayer for each day of Advent, this resource is sure to be a blessing for the families in your faith community.
A Christmas Prayer Journey
We have revamped a favourite from the Kids Friendly archive! A Christmas Prayer Journey is an interactive, all-ages event that immerses participants in the story of Christmas.
Come Let Us Walk in the Light of the Lord
This resource, produced in 2022, provides an invitation for families and children’s ministries to explore the story of Advent through the themes of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love.
This resource includes ideas for worship, reflection and prayer.
Nativity Resources
Check out our library of Nativity plays and skits. Many of these have been written by people serving in the PCANZ.
Lectio for Families
Lectio for Families is a free daily devotional that helps families to read the Bible and explore faith through conversation and prayer together.
We Wonder Podcast
This podcast is a fantastic, children-focussed series focussed on the Advent story.

Our friends at mainlyMINISTRIES have produced a fantastic new Christmas resource for Church services and/or children’s ministry.
Bible Society
Each year, the Bible Society produce a wonderful, free booklet based on the Christmas story. These are perfect for giving out to participants in children’s ministry and outreach programmes, and are available to order from their website.
Strandz Resources
Strandz, the Anglican Children and Families Ministry hub, have a great variety of resources curated on their website. Along with free printable resources, there are heaps of ideas for intergenerational ministry, videos, craft ideas, and nativity play scripts.
