DESCRIPTION:The Season of Creation is observed each year from 1 September – 4 October. The four Sundays held within September make up the bulk of the celebration. There are many great resources out there. Rev. Silvia Purdie has collated resources of her own as well as resources from a variety of places (Arocha\, World Council of Churches\, Climate Witness Project\, etc.) which provide a great ‘hub’ to refer to as you prepare to celebrate the upcoming Season of Creation. DESCRIPTION:This year\, ‘Praying for Children’ Week is the week of 22-28 August. As in years past\, we have partnered with Presbyterian Support to create a rich variety of resources to guide you and your church community through the week. We are thankful for funding and support through PSDS that has enabled us to offer these resources. As Matthew 18:3b-4 invites us\, we are to become like children to enter the kingdom of heaven. The theme this year invites us to consider the unique characteristics of children and to see the world through their eyes as we pray for them. DESCRIPTION:The Season of Lent \nView our Season of Lent Resource \n\n\n\nThis year our newest team member\, Diane\, has created a resource that can be used to guide families or churches through Lent. We are particularly encouraging this resource to be used as a practical way to encourage parents with faith formation in the home. For instance\, there is a page created for Ash Wednesday as well as each week of Lent. The resource could be distributed to the families in your community of faith in its entirety at the beginning of Lent or it could be distributed each Sunday of Lent for use in the home throughout each week. While this resource translates well to a faith at home setting\, it could also easily be used in a church setting on a Sunday morning or alternative. Have a blessed Lenten journey!
