SUMMARY:The Season of Creation
DESCRIPTION:The Season of Creation is observed each year from 1 September – 4 October. The four Sundays held within September make up the bulk of the celebration. There are many great resources out there. Rev. Silvia Purdie has collated resources of her own as well as resources from a variety of places (Arocha\, World Council of Churches\, Climate Witness Project\, etc.) which provide a great ‘hub’ to refer to as you prepare to celebrate the upcoming Season of Creation. SUMMARY:Praying for Children
DESCRIPTION:This year\, ‘Praying for Children’ Week is the week of 22-28 August. As in years past\, we have partnered with Presbyterian Support to create a rich variety of resources to guide you and your church community through the week. We are thankful for funding and support through PSDS that has enabled us to offer these resources. As Matthew 18:3b-4 invites us\, we are to become like children to enter the kingdom of heaven. The theme this year invites us to consider the unique characteristics of children and to see the world through their eyes as we pray for them.
